'01Transmission failed
I have a 01 Expy, just recently my, transmission started slipping. It would shudder at times then accelerate, other times it would not move for several seconds after pressing the accelerator. The dealer said there were metal shavings in the pan. The mechanic said there was so much damage that the tranny needs to be rebuilt ($2,600) 1 year warranty or replaced with a black box (rebuilt tranny,$3400) 3 year warranty. Has anyone else experienced this problem? 75,000 miles on the tranny. Warranty expired.
