tranny going? or what???
quick question i hope, when im cruising at 45-55 mph in OD it feels like my motor is cutting out and i assume its my tranny cuz when i hit the Od button it doesnt do it, its kind of like a quick jerking motion like when you run out of gas and it spits and sputters. it only does it between 45-55 and very rarely above 60. what could this be? what can i do to fix it?
also how much MPG does the IAC knock off when it is bad?

Sounds like the friction plate in the torque converter (overdrive models) is slipping.
I had to replace torque converter and increase tranny pump pressure to keep it from happening again.
Original cause of problem = OEM tranny pump does not supply sufficient pressure on early E4od trannies.

i thought the same thing..... wasnt the tranny though. Ignition Control Module. Here was my original post. once i replaced the module, the problem NEVER resurfaced
