4" downpipe

4" downpipe
i have a stock 3.5" exhaust with no cat and no muffler... dumped out before the back tire... can i use a 4" downpipe with it? will it match up or do i need an addapter.. and i ordered a programmer do you think the exhaust is good enough to keep the egts down? thanks

if you are getting a programer, make sure you have gauges to monitor egt and such... i would go with a 4" exhaust sytem - turbo back... unless you don't tow anything... but either way... gauges are a must...

well, that will let you watch the egt's while you play with your tunner...! you should be fine, and you'll know if you gotta ease up on the right foot...! i would go with 4" system though... you'll be able to play longer...!

yeah, call Dale at Tymar performance to get your 3''-4'' downpipe for around 140$$ shipped. its a tight fit, but it will work. granted, this is for my OBS truck, but i'm sure the new is the same. then go get some 4''exhaust tubing to take it a little further back put a bend in to get it out from under the truck. should work great.
