brake problems
I was doing my brakes, and the piston ejected from the caliper. I can't figure out how to get it back in. I'm sure there is a way to do this. Please help me so I don't have to go buy another caliper. All responses welcome. Thanks

This is real easy if you have axcess to an air supply. First lube the square cut o-ring in the caliper bore and the piston with brake assembly fluid (parts store). Then with an very small amount of air apply at the point where you removed the brake line as you gently hold the piston at the edge of the dust boot so that the air pressure will push the boot out and around the piston at which time you can remove the air an gently wiggle and push the piston back in with finger pressure only.

brake problems
At Autozone they have rebuilt calipers for $9.99 with a $10 core charge. I purchased mine for an 89 F150 about 1.5 years ago. They are working perfectly. In other words just install rebuilt ones, don't mess with the piston unless you are sure no dirt or foreign material has entered. The o-ring may be scored as well.

brake problems
Well I got the rubber boot back around the piston. Now it seems as if something is not letting the piston fully back in the caliper bore, also at some point will the pison lock into place, because right now the pressure from the spring just keeps pushing the piston out. Thanks again.
