warning buzzer??

warning buzzer??
anyone know were i can buy the buzzer module for all the annoying bells and stuff. someone was smart and got rid of it, but i bought the truck and keep forgetting to turn the lights off. its for a 92 5.0.

If you really want a buzzer, the base models had the buzzer instead of the bell. You can get the module from another truck. Frankly, its more annoying than the bell though. My buddy's Ranger has the buzzer and its enough to make you wanna kick the dashboard to shut it up.

k i just went through 3 different buzzers and bells and none of them work. i mainly just want the sound for the lights, but not even that works. i tried to trace the wiring and from what i can tell w/out completely pulling of the whole dash its all connected. any ideas?? the fuse is good too.

Ok, a couple of troubleshooting thoughts. The warning chime module is grounded @ Ground "F" in the body wiring harness which is landed behind the lower left cowl panel (somewhere in the vicinity of the parking brake pedal and the hood release handle). The module has five separate triggers for the chime/buzzer. The trigger from the headlights is a BROWN wire from terminal "R" on the main light switch. Power feed from fuse #17 is a RED-YEL wire. You can test for voltage at the BLK and RED-YEL wires by removing the module and checking the voltage at the connector. You can perform the same test across the BRN and BLK wires by turning on the parking lights. They should show battery voltage (~12-14 VDC) when a reading is taken across either the RED-YEL and BLK and/or the BRN-BLK with the lights on.
