78 courier

i have this 78 courier with a 2.3L five speed, i think the clutch might be going but i not sure how to really tell? you'll be driving down the road and shift and it will take some time for the clutch to completely let out and grab, it seems like it just getting stuck but i'm not sure if that would be the cable or the clutch?

You can check with some of the old Mazda forums for specific info. The Courier was a Mazda truck, no Ford parts except the label.
