I finally pulled the trigger on a guage set for my mule. there's soooo many choices..! i got the DiPricol black faced and a pillar mount... does anybody have a set of these..?
will do... i should get them this week...! the wife is in florida, so i should get these and get them in b4 she gets back...! i wonder if she'll even notice them in the truck..!
Oh yeah, I remember....
She was putting the Florida trip on the charge card, right?
I'm sure her trip was STILL more expensive than the gauges.
Yes, please post pics!
Do you gave a link for the site you ordered from and part number?
Check the statement and see how much she spent, then YOU spend the same. Of course, it's just to keep "harmony" in the house, eh?
steve, just stop..! you're gonna get me in trouble..! As soon as i get these guages i'll take a digital pic of them and see if i can post it... i liked the way they looked on the black cloud website.. and they are backlit green... so they should look good at night... i think green backlight sets off a red pointer better than any other color...
I like those gauges, look alright, and not as expensive as the ones on dieselsite, they are $400+ preassembled, colored motorhaven wants (I think) 350+. Why the big difference? I mean I know the expensive ones look all pretty and that, but is there a reliability issue?
I ALWAYS get in trouble, have to say everything I do either increases fuel economy or protects the engine. hehehehe
dieselsites pre assembled guage's come attached to a factory A pillar cover. All you have to do is run all the wires to it and plug it in and then snap it in place. No drilling or painting or test fitting, just snap it in place. I have a setup coming from them for my dad's truck.
i hate to bust your bubble but... the gauges actually lower your mpg... why, because of the BOOST GAUGE...! how does that effect mpg you ask... well.. that's simple... you're so busy watching it, and trying to see how high you can get it to go, you don't even notice how long your right foot stays on the floor, and you don't even look at your fuel gauge till it's on "E"...!
