SHOCKED?!?
What kind of shocks is everybody using on their 1/2 ton trucks? I am looking for a good quality shock to replace my OEM's. I am interested in something fairly heavy duty for towing and payload purposes.

I too have been looking into getting some new performance shocks for my F-150. I've done some research and found out that Explorer ProComp ES9000s are pretty damn good. They're cheap to, Summit Racing is selling them for $33.00 apiece, however the 16 different colored boots are $7.00 apiece and they come with a lifetime warranty!!!

I have an almost brand new set of Rancho RS 5000's for sale. I just put a lift on my truck and needed to get new shocks. These shock are very heavy duty. If your interested E-mail me at shara100(No Email Addresses In Posts!). These are the shocks w/boots

Monroe has a new shock that claims some improvements over other brands http://www.monroe.com . They are called Reflex . Ive seen a few trucks with them , but havent had any owner feedback . Seems to me they run in the $50 to $60 range per shock ? Ive run Rancho Rs 5000 for the last 5 yrs and they seem to be fine . like mentioned before , they offer a more solid ride . I still have the original Ford ones in the back and they are 10 yrs old ...no troubles .
