Transmission Trouble!!
I have a '93 F-150 4x4 exyended cab with an automatic transmission and a 351w with 142,000 miles. My question is when it gets to a certain rpm and begins to strain like up a hill, it starts to shake and vibrate badly. It almost feels like it is trying to downshift but it can't. Is that the torque converter or transmission and what do I need to fix it?

Does your truck have an overdrive lockout of some sort? If not, try downshifting manually.
Sounds like it is lugging badly, and believe it or not, sometimes the car's driver is smarter than the car's computer!

Hey jason, it be chris, i think u need to put a nv4500 in there,naw, its jus that damn non lockup e40d, that torque converter isthe prob =), me an joey will fix her up, lol
