I'm in the proces of doing a performance upgrade on my truck. I know that once I'm done and its broken in and I push the go peddle to the floor for the first time, I can't wait, there is gona be a problem, its gona be starved for gas once the motor gets into higher rpms.
My question for every one is will a high volume in tank pump for a mustang fit in the tank with out to much trouble or does anyone know where to get a high volume pump made for my truck w/o paying through the nose? Also, if I decide to go with an inline pump instead will it hurt anything to leave the old stock pump in?
The trucks not running so I can't tell if the FP is a problem yet.(still putting it together) The fpr is adjustable from 35-60 although I shouldn't need more than 40 with a higher volume pump. I'm trying to make sure that everything is set up so that when I can afford a set of heads I can just put them on tweek a few things and go. This is the main reason for the fuel pump upgrade. Also, if I dont do it now with the big cam I'm puting in there is a good chance I'll have a problem with the motor not getting the gas it wants.
Blurry this is from one of your posts a week or two back. Where did you get the intake tube used here? I'm using a mustang intake and putting it on facing the same direction as the GT40 in the picture and a tube like that would work perfectly.
That tube came with the GEN 1 Lightning MA kit I bought a couple of years ago. I gave it to my brother when he did that GT-40 swap on his 94 F-150, and it worked great!
