Are you looking to completely swap axles, housings and all or just get stronger axles for the 9" and the D44? With the front Dana44 (Twin Traction Beam) you don't have many if any options for going stronger unless you swap to the 3/4 ton TTB Dana50 or a solid Dana44 or bigger axle. While its difficult to believe you are trashing the Ford 9" rear axles there are stronger alxes to be had for this assembly. Moser makes a 35 spline axle assembly for the 9". If thats not enough you may want to consider a swap to a Dana60 in the rear. Others will have other suggestions but thats my $0.02.
