Can yall perhaps give me an estimate on how much it would cost to pay someone to install the headers for me? I wanan get the headers with the diablo delta chip but i gotta hold off on the chip till after i get my headers cuz i was told that the chip should be the last thing i install. Plus, i think motorheaven programs the chip so it knows i have the headers. I hope after the headers and chip i will get into the 15's on the track but i dont see it happening. Anybody has the link for the turbo charger. I know it cost $5000 but i wanna bookmark it and dream over it for a long...long time

BTW i have the MAC air intake too. I love it!! and i installed it myself
The headers are pretty easy to install yourself they come with step by step instructions and if you have any trouble just drop me a line and I will be glad to help! I love the headers you will notice the hp increase more than any other upgrade! I waited until I had every mod I could find installed before I got a custom programmer that way they can program it to take advantage of all of your mods! I went with the SCT programmer it has three tunes one for 87,90,and 93 octane gas and wow what a difference!

I checked out a few chips but i mostly read threads and sites about them. It seems the Diablo delta chip( i think it's called that) is right for me. My trasmition is an auto and i like the benefits of the shift points and firmness of the shifting i said it will give. It also stated that it will make the transmition last longer.

The chip will run me about 200-300 depending if i want the 3rd stage or not. I appreciate you mentioning the site. That is the cheapest place i have seen those JBA headers yet. here's the link to them http://www.performancecenter.com/products/searchtype_56d/sortorder_DAAAA/productcategory_Headers/category_Engine+~~+Performance/sf1_FORD/sf2_2002/sf3_Ranger/sf4_3.0l/partnumber_JBA1647-1/

I looks like they will look damn good under my hood. I think i will go ahead and order them soon but i need to make up my mind because i really want the headers and chip but it $750 is a good chunk of change but i know i will enjoy it. I figured instead of wanting it forever i will just go ahead and get it. I will check out the instructions like you said when i get it and see. I am hoping i have the tools or the job.

BTW on your MAC intake, did it line up perfectly or what. Mine is slightly off and a wierd angel but it never gave me a problem yet.

Exclamation

No problems with my Mac cold air intake you just have to twist and turn a little to get it to line up but not perfect should be OK as long as you have the clamps tight! The sct programer I have also adjusts the auto trans to shift more firm and hold higher rpms but I have heard good things about the diablo chips they are one of the best! As far as tools you should only need a couple of wrenches the only other thing you need is some muscle to break the bolts loose! have fun!!

and a wierd angel but it never gave me a problem yet.[/QUOTE]

I ran a 17.38 at 79 mph but that was with my 35" tires which wiegh about 65 lbs more a tire than the stock 235's and they are a lot harder to turn! Besides the extra 250 lbs to turn and the 5" lift with all my accesories that isn't to bad! I am trying to find some stock size tires and rims to test out I am sure my times will be a lot better than 17! When I do I will let you know just how much faster it is with some smaller tires!

Wow man, that is pretty good in my opinion considering the tires you have on there. I am predicting you running low 16's or 15's even. I'd love my truck to run 15's lol but i doubt headers and the chip will get me from 17.778 at 80mph into the 15's.
