Got a new present

Well, yesterday was my birthday . I wasn't expecting anything because I'm now 29 and don't really care about birthdays anyway (I would rather spend the money and time on the kids). It was all going well, my parents came over for dinner, we grilled up some steaks, had a few drinks. When it was almost time for my parents to go back home, they had a surprise for me. Well it turns out my wife had bought me something for the truck. I'm sure you know how most wives are. Usually very well intentioned but not fully aware of what you want or need for your truck. So I went out to see what my surprise was. Big cardboard box with Tymar Performance on the side. Opened the box to find Dale's 3-4" downpipe and a 4" exhaust. Isn't she great . Now the problem is, I have to work today and tomorrow night so the exhaust will have to wait until Sunday to go on.

You have a winning combination there. A great family, a wife who listens to you, and a nice Ford truck to play with.

wow, you have control. I would have had to go without sleep so the exhaust could be on there as soon as possible. Sounds like you have a great family that really cares about you.

O YEA - she wanted me to put stacks on my rig for almost a year before I did!! AND... after she went to the last Dyno event with me - she keeps asking me when I'm gonna get injectors and a turbo so I can get better numbers, and roll with the "big boys" the next time!??! (I'm hoping she'll buy them for me too) yea right....

I was going to say, get her to put it on so she could "appreciate" it. But since sunday dawns in less than 8 hours, you got some fun to have! Guess you'll have supervision too, eh?
She's a good girl, a real sweetheart.

(thanks for giving me ideas, hehe)

Steve...

Heck, come to think of it, my wife is the reason I even have a diesel. Had a nice sporty little '99 F-150 and tried to pull my bronco with it. It did pretty well, but struggled up the passes here in CO. After the first trip, she asked how my truck did. I told her the truth, and she said "you need a diesel". I said sure, but was expecting something in the next year or so. In a few days, she had located what I wanted abd by the end of that week, I was driving my PSD.

Each of our wives are great in some way. Remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just some wives like truck stuff.
