Which Compressor Would you Prefer ?
Wifey gave me the green light to buy a new one and my choices have narrowed between tne Northeren Hydrolic unit # ILA7006056

Or the Harbor Freight model 3848-4VGA

Northern has higher PSI 155, weighs less,cost less, 2 year warenty
H.F. unit has higher (CFM 12.8 @90 PSI) ratings cost more, weighs more, 12 month warenty
Anyone had experiences with either one ?

I would get the highest volumn (CFM) at the pressure you want to operate. The maximum pressure is really the same for all machines of the same type. I would not operate a single stage compressor over 130 PSIG regardless of what the name tag said. Also try to compare all the CFM ratings at the same pressure, eg 90PSIG.
