Should I Change My Cps As Preventive Maintenance, If So At What Mileage Do You Recommend Doing It ??
Also, how many miles can I expect to get out of my 7.3 psd before having injector problems ?? Should I change injectors as prev. maint... at a certain mileage ??
They seem to fail around 100K, I guess it couldn't hurt to buy one, and have on hand.
but, personally they are so easy to replace, I wouldn't change it until it started acting up. Haven't had the injector problems yet with my '96 F350 @ 188K miles.
Good Luck!!
I would definitely wait until it goes bad. I had 2 bad brand new ones in a row one time. I would definitley buy one though, and keep it with the truck at all times.
If it aint broke ,,, dont fix it.
use good lubricants, filters and maintainance schedule.
pay attention when you buy fuel that they arent receiving fuel while you are there and try to get clean fuel.
enjoy your ride.

Why is it bad for them to be receiving new fuel while you're filling up?
I fill up at a truck stop/travel center near my house where (I assume) they have pretty high turnover on their diesel. I've never payed attention to whether they're receiving new fuel while I'm there, though.
I could see where the flow from the fueling tanker would stir up crud from the bottom of the tank. However there's filters installed on all the modern filling stations.
