86 aod shifting

did you notice anything different prior to this happening? the reason I ask is when my AOD went it was slipping and then finally stoped going into 3rd and OD, I had it rebuilt and the tranny guy told me 3rd gear was gone...

have you changed the fluid and filter in the tranny recently? might be due for a service . start with the cheap things first. if it is infact toast then talk to some local tranny shops , might as well get it built to handle any future mods. here is a sweet tranny if you can spring for it. has a very strong gear set and lower first second gears which help for 4x4in and towing. and can handle some 400 hp to which is always good
