Average MPG?
Another question for anybody out there. I have just purchased a 2000 psd and its main purpose is pulling a 8,000 pound trailer. I have noticed that my average mileage is 17.5 not pulling and 10-11 pulling. 3.73 gears, auto, 4x4. This is mostly freeway driving at 75. Is there that big of a difference in mileage? The truck is stock. I was hoping for a little better mileage than that but it pulls so good that I can live with 10 mpg!

i have an 02 with the same set up as you... want a little better mileage on the highway... slow down... i went from 11-12 to 12-14 and all i did was slow down to around 70... this may or may not help you, but it's worth a try... it's up to you btw.. i tow a 5ver that wieghs 10k

yup, i know what you mean... if i could just run my 5ver up around 85, my mule wouldn't have to downshift for any of the hills... but, you can't run that fast, and i wouldn't want anyone else on the road if i was... awful hard to slow the mule and the 5ver down from that speed as GCVW is up around 20k...!
