Service Engine Light Indicator on
Got cold here in WI last night plugged in truck. Started truck up everything fine, but the engine light will not come off. I did unplug my EGR 7 mths ago so I plugged that back in , light still on. The warning light is not blinking so it should not be dangerous to drive right? I can not get to the Ford dealer until Friday. I thinking it is the EGR that threw the code. Any ideas out there what it could be. Engine idles fine , mileage seems ok, no other guages show a sign of any problems. I remember reading were I could disconnect batteries to reset this light. I figure EGR and maybe I can get a new Flash while I am there. My last Flash was June 2004. 2004 CC DRW 6.0 PSD , Thanks much.
