Side Steps

The truck I just bought does not have the chrome side steps on it. I didn't realize it wouldn't come with it since I ordered it from the factory. I have the crew cab and I was wondering if anyone knows what they should cost me? The dealer said he would sell them to me at cost since they kinda screwed up my truck when they delivered it (see earlier thread by me).

I also searched our sponsors here for pricing, but didn't see the Ford ones, only aftermarket.

Thanks for the input and suggestions!

Side steps

I followed the link, but was unable to find the side steps. My dealer called me and said he would sell them for $450 a pair. Is this a good price?

I picked up a new set for my CC from trucksparts411.com for $175 delivered. So far, so good. They were easy to install, took about 45 minutes.

there are 2 different styles, I think you are wanting the oval shaped bars, which I think look better, anyway it seems like i found them for around 350 but i can not seem to find that link.. if you can get the part number , do a search in google and you can probably find them cheaper..

You guys are great... question though, the parts show as fitting the F150. Will these work on the 2005 F250 CC?

Thanks again,

Trojan,

I have a pair of the chrome oval steps that came off a 05 Crewcab. They were on for about 1 month. There isn't any hardware however. pm/e-mail me if you're interested. I'm in AZ.

I have the factory chrome oval ones off my 05 with 6k miles with everything I would get rid of for $200 plus shipping.

Can you guys post some pics of your side steps just to make sure I am looking at the right ones? There are 2 types, the 4" and the 5" tubular chrome. I would definitely buy them if they are the same I am looking at!

I'm not sure of the size. There must be 2 different ones because the ones on my F350 XLT are straight with the black plastic step piece going the whole length. These came off an Armarillo pkg truck and are curved on the ends with 2 seperate step pieces.

Trojan,
I have the oval steps on my 04 CC and I like the feel when you step up...just
the right height. Sounds like the dealer was trying to get to you for at least a
hundred bucks on his price for the steps. He should have given them to you
to compensate for the dent in your truck.
Good luck with your new truck!
