toggle switch/push button ignition

I was thinking about completely getting rid of all of the unneccessary wiring (ie. lighting) on my '70 ford and build a custom dash out of sheet aluminum with auto meter gauges. I'm not really up to par on wiring and was wondering if anyone could fill me in on using a toggle switch for power and push button for the ignition and what i need to wire to.

Get one of the switch panels from Summit, the moroso ones. $120 for the one with 5 switches and a starter button all on breakers. Or, you can get one of those that has the fuses instead. I'm still torn as to which one to get for the mudder.

We have a push button ignition on our 72' F-250, apparently the mechanic couldnt find the right replacement switch? but yet the key still has to be in the on position? I'm confused.....We also have an EXTREMELY hidden kill switch so It cant be stolen as easily....he, he, he

Wire the toggle to supply power to the coil, and the pushbutton to send power to the starter solenoid. That's all it takes.

that only works with points style ignition, if you have electronic you need to figure out what has to have a power source on the ignition box, and run your toggle switch power to that.

here is what mine came out looking like
