I put a 4in lift on my 78 F-250 ex-cab long bed and the turning radius is HORRIBLE!!! Is there any tricks that anyone might know of to correct this. The kit I purchased came with the spacer for the drag link arm (??proper name??) and the link is still at a slight angle. Is a cross over steering conversion the only solution??
If there is any angle in the draglink you have now, it wont allow full rotation. I think you may need a draglink thats meant for a 4inch lift. I think its available from SkyJacker.
I have one that came off my D60 off a 78 F350, this is what it looks like:
I have a the 4inch lift kit from skyjacker on my 73, and I'll be using a cross over steering system so I wont have any binding or bump steer since the truck will mainly be used off-road. I could sell the draglink in the picture, its in okay condition, but the tie-rod ends need to be replaced. Email or PM me if interested.
