ok my old f 250 is not starting up easy when cold ( below 32) the wait to start light will only flash on for a sec. when it does start the glow plugs will cycle on and off like they should for about 30 sec. yesterday the local dealer said i do NOT have a glow plug temp sensor that all that controlls it is the glow plug controller so i changed it and tried it this morning ( still below 32) and it was just as bad as before any ideas?

Had the same a few weeks ago except my F250 6.9 would not start at all with temp. at about 50. G/Plug light only stayed on for a second or less and then the solinoid would click on and off. I replaced all the G/Plugs and problem solved. If you search these forums you will get plenty of information on both G/Plugs and G/Plug controller. Hope this helps.

Only use motorcraft/bery gps. Go to www.members.shaw.ca/k2piolt/ for info on how to change. If you encounter problems post back right away. Don't forget anti seize, and watch the torque on the gps.
