glow plugs

sorry i think i post to wrong page before so here it goes again

<HR style="COLOR: #666666" SIZE=1> <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->
ok my old f 250 is not starting up easy when cold ( below 32) the wait to start light will only flash on for a sec. when it does start the glow plugs will cycle on and off like they should for about 30 sec. yesterday the local dealer said i do NOT have a glow plug temp sensor that all that controlls it is the glow plug controller so i changed it and tried it this morning ( still below 32) and it was just as bad as before any ideas?

Had the same a few weeks ago except my F250 6.9 would not start at all with temp. at about 50. G/Plug light only stayed on for a second or less and then the solinoid would click on and off. I replaced all the G/Plugs and problem solved. If you search these forums you will get plenty of information on both G/Plugs and G/Plug controller. Hope this helps.

Only use motorcraft/bery gps. Go to www.members.shaw.ca/k2piolt/ for info on how to change. If you encounter problems post back right away. Don't forget anti seize, and watch the torque on the gps.

Check your GP's, the test lite method is the easiest. If you have 3 or more out the W T S lite will only come on for a second or so. There are a lot of threads on changing, only use buru.

I spelled the site wrong. It is- k2pilot/, not piolt. My brain and my fingers are not always connected. Sorry about that.
