Injector woes

Thumbs down Injector woes

I put remans in my 97 psd this weekend and now my truck seems like it has more of a miss in it then before. The tailpipe seems like it is staying damp right at the tip of it now also, but I don't know wether it is unburnt fuel or oil. Anyone got any suggestions. We all know how easy those are to test or diagnose.

These engines are notorious for problems with the wiring harness inside the valve cover and also the plug/s.

check all your wiring harness for the injectors.

are you sure the same code injectors went back in the truck??

Question

Yeh, they were the same code injectors. What is the best way to check the wires on the injectors? Is there a special tester to use on them?

Unfortunatly the valve covers have to come back off to do a visual. I recommend just biting the bullet and going down to the International dealer and buying the harness's and valve cover gaskets and hold down clips. I replace mine on my '99 for a burned out glow plug wire that had shorted against a push rod. The injector wires were ok looking. Well it ran better once I got it back together. I am assuming there was corrosion on the plugs that was interfering with the signal.
