Michelin LTX M/S are also known as Michelin X Radial LT's in both Costco & Sam's Club
Exact same tire tread pattern but slightly differnt nme & cheaper price per tire...even with the price increase.
Lifetime Balance & Rotation is offered at those clubs for a REASONABLE price per tire. If balanced every other oil change & you check the air in them expect to get 75-80,000 miles out of a set of them EZ.
I have had 3 Explorers...starting in 1992. I have had Firestone ATX,Goodyear RTS Wranglers, Pirrelli's and Bridgestone. Nothing will outlast those Michelin's on an Explorer nor will the ride as nice.
one vote here fore the KUMHO HT .. I was a bit hesitant about buying a less expensive tire but after 10K miles on them i truly belive them to be the eqwual of the Michelin X-Terrain which were on it and cost a lot lot less!!
I run separate separate snow tires (on steel rims) in the winter. So far have used Pirelli Scorpion Ice + Snow ..... anyone else have experience with snow only tires they could share ?
