Intermitent tailight failure

Every now and the one of my tailights will stop working. After a couple driveing cycles it will start working again. Any clues as to what may cause it?

had the same problem. The bulb inside the housing was loose. I opened it up and squeezed the contacts together in the light assembly so the bulb fit tighter. Fixed the problem.
