Side-Gapping

I was reading up on messages posted about Side-Gapping, and I was wondering if I Side-Gapped my spark plugs on my 85 Bronco II 4x4 with a 2.8L V6 and my 85 F-250 4x4 with a 460, if I would get the same or about same as the 351W?

Side-Gapping
I side gapped the plugs on my 4.9L 2 weeks ago and there was a noticeable difference albeit not a huge one. Better gas mileage and a smoother and stronger power band through the RPM range were there but it is not a miracle solution. There is also the question of durability and this can countereffect this "tweak" if you do not change your plugs more frequently.
