2005 Ford SuperDuties Orders
I was about set to go to the dealership and order the 2005 Ford F-350 with specific options and trim, only to discover that my salesperson found out from her inventory manager that Ford Corporate had decided to stop taking orders for the 2005 SuperDuties back in March. I was bit surprised and the explaination was that they had reached an balance of the production of the vehicle. Apparently they are getting ready to release the 2006 model earlier. There is a all new from ground up 2007 SuperDuties that will be coming out. I assume that the Ford Corporate is retooling the factories for the 2007 model. I have not heard any details on the 2007 model, but I do know there is an few changes to the 2006 model. Just superfical changes, such as the Larit Luxury Package with its white gauges, electrical air conditioning controls to be standard. I am going to wait til I get the pricing for the 2006 models and keep you posted on any information. Any comments?

If you read through we have discussed this a couple weeks ago. Both, about the redesign and the closing of orders. Our guess was they want to get the 07's out earlier ahead of any schedule competitor changes. Most here will probably step up to the plate in 08 and give the 07's a year to shake out the kinds.

Or maybe 2 years, I waited till 04 to buy mine and still don't think they worked out enough "kinks". Just wish they would stick with something long enough to get it right before jumping ship and changing for the worse so often. Go for the 06, at least they don't have to figure out too much new stuff.

I didn't see that thread about the issue on orders for the 05 and 06 SuperDuties, I did enter an search for such a subject and didn't come up with that issue. I looked back at the threads by date and found that thread. Perhaps there should be an better groupings for discussions of specific subjects. As for the vehicle orders, are you, Argann, saying that the 06 models might end up having a very short production run and then turn over the productions over to the new 07 vehicles? If thats the case, is there an possibility there would be good incentives to get those 06 orders to keep moving so they can clear up the orders for the 07? Keep us posted on that.
