Drivers side mirror adjustment
97 F150 XL,manual mirrors
My drivers side mirror moves out of adjustment at high speeds or when I shut the door.I have tightened the adjustment bolt but it still moves.Is there a bushing of some sort in there that is possibly worn?

My '97 XL did and my daughter's '99 XL does the same thing. I just had to continually tighted it. Problem never was fully resolved. 75 or below wasn't too bad. Anything above 75 and I would end up looking at the side of my bed. I never attempted to take the mirror apart. It's just a very poor design. The XLT is not much better. After a year or so the driver's side mirror begins to vibrate inside the housing. I love my Ford, but the mirror engineer needs a pink slip.
