All wet!

My father-in-law has a 94 F150 300 with automatic overdrive. After taking it to a carwash with an undercarriage spray, the odometer (digital) is blank, the speedometer (analog) doesn't move, and the transmission doesn't shift right. The fuses are all good. Any clues?

I'm not positive what may be causing this. However, I have seen a few trucks that had blown a fuse, and the speedo, and odo didn't work. You may want to check the wires into the fuseblock. Since the truck is having problems shifting right, that will be caused by the same thing.

Hi John umm you have a E4OD tranny which means you use all diffeent sensors from the engine and the drivetrain within the computer to deterermin speed calculations and load conditions then commands actuators within the transmission to intiate a shift now what problay has happened water has gotten into the wire harness causing it to short out try pullin it off and takin a hair dryer to it to dry the connectors out and see if that helpsGood Luck
