$9000 into project
I started rebuilding my 76 highboy when I got back from Iraq. I was so excited. I just wanted to do a simple engine swap to replace the 360 that spun the bearings when the oil pump froze. I went ahead and ordered a 40 over 390 short block and was going to rework my original heads. The machine shop took too long then lost my heads ( good thing they weren't anything special) so I ordered a set of RPM heads. That was all she wrote. Now the only thing Ford on my motor is the block and a few other little things. I'm addicted to the performance of this thing. I have a carb problem and it still runs like a champ. Hopefully I can get the computer to read my memory card so I can post the picks of this beast.

HaHa you've been corrupted, and I didn't even have anything to do with it. I have the same issue the only thing on my engine that says ford is the block and I am wishing I had bought an aftermarket block even the crank, and rods are made by someone else, and it's absolutly amazing how you can tie up a lot of money into a engine in a hurry, but sure is fun when they run.
