Question Code 33

Hello Very One, I have a 1994 E-250 5.8L. I get code 33 and replaced the egr sensor, tried to reset the computer but still get 33. Think I need to replace the egr? Is there any tricks to make it easy? the sensor was a bear to change,I can only Imagine what it will take to do the job. Any Help would be helpful, also the check engine light is not on. Mileage is about 12-13 mpg. Only 67,000 miles on it. Thanks Kevin

Check the vac lines going to the EGR valve. In fact check the whole vac system. Losing vac will mean it can't move the valve.

Red face Re; code 33

thanks for your reply Dannym, I will check the hoses see if that improves it. It might be it, since I replaced the sensor and got the same sensor reading.

Okay, it sounds like you are actually getting an ALL CLEAR code... In '94 you SHOULD have 3 digit codes not 2. It will repeat them twice, so an all clear will be 1 pause 1 pause 1 pause with about 1 second between the 3 flashes and then about 2 seconds and it repeats. If it was a 33 it would be 3 rapid flashes, then a once second pause and then 3 more rapid flashes, then a 2 second pause then it would repeat the code.
