1990 f 350 transfer case fork problem

1990 f 350 transfer case fork problem
I took it apart, the oil pump had spun and the front fork was worn off, (wouldn't stay in gear unless I had power on it) So I replaced these items,, drove 100 miles and it started coming out of gear again,, Now I have it taken apart again and the fork is just about in the same shape as the one I replaced, It appears it is holding the gear in place by itself, and this wears it out,, so I've looked everything over,, circlips where in place etc. now maybe I'm suspecting the planetary gear, or any ideas??
