Dodge Van stuttering
I've got a D***e Grand Caravan. 2002. I had it sitting on a slight incline today and when I went to start it, it was stuttering to where I had to put my foot to the accelarator to overcome it. Once I gave it the gas, it seemed to run ok. It's got 49k on the odometer. I'm thinking fuel filter but the damn thing is 31 stones and I don't want to shotgun parts at it. I dumped some HEET in the gas tank just because I had an open bottle but I'm not going with that as a fix. It's been stuttering a little before this but not this bad. Any ideas or is the filter a decent change at those miles anyway?

This stuttering............any chance it was flooded as evidenced by black smoke? I'm suspecting/questioning the FPR or maybe a leaky injector if this is the case. You might also check fuel pressure before starting, KOEO, and KOER. The point on this one is to see if the fuel system is holding pressure when the vehicle has been off for awhile. Low fuel pressure prior to starting suggests a leaking injector(s) or problem with the check valve in the fuel system. I would also check for stored codes.
