Question Mounting brake controller

I have an 04 F250 CC, where is a good location to mount the brake controller so you can see it, get at it to use manual control and not be in the way? I don't want to drill holes in the dash. Any suggestions?

covey hole

I have a 02 f350. I have a covey hole right below the radio. I just drilled a 3/8 dia hole in there and slid the wires through. I don't romve my brake controller much but, when I do I can push the wire back in the covey hole and still use it. I realize you don't want to drill into the dash but that was the problem I had no good mounting place. Now I find I really enjoy having it there easy access for adjustments and easy to see. Best of luck.....

I mounted mine just below the cubby hole. Screwed it right to the plastic.

Another vote for mounting it in the cubby hole, its about as clean of an install as you can easily do.

I had the same problem, and I didn’t want to drill any holes in the dash either. I solved this problem by making a bracket that mounts the brake controller just above the parking brake. You can see pictures of the setup in my gallery. Best of all, it mounts to an existing hole under the dash.

I mounted mine under the cubby hole. I would be whacking my knees on it getting in and out if it were next to the parking brake.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was just about to do the cuby hole thing, then I saw the OBDII port. I removed the 2 screws to it mounted the brake controler braket there. Then moved the OBDII port to the right about 1-2" removeded a screw from the dash trim and screwed it in there.

My plan for now is to leave it there till I get another garbage bag hanger (little plastic hook under cup holder) and cut a hole in it to match brake controler in it?

Thanks for all the reply's...
