Question on power steering hoses
1973 F100 2wd, 390, C6
It appears that the return hose on my power steering is leaking and needs to be replaced. The return line goes thru what appears to be a cooler. My question is, should I replace the return line with a standard hose or should I try to mate it to the cooler? Not knowing what pressure is on the return line I don't know if a common hose clamp would be enough to keep it from leaking where it attaches to the cooler.

The return line does not have any pressure on it unless it becomes blocked or restricted. Using the cooler and adding a return line filter is always a good idea.
