I just got another ford F4 truck this spring but have not got it home yet. working on the eng. from the frist one. Can't wait till I get one of them running.
Hey- I too have a 48 F4. just started it after 10 years waiting.
I have 2 flat 6's. But im starting with my FlatV8.
Its at the machinist now getting checked for cracks and wall thickness.
Hello-
I posted on a separate thread then saw this. I am planning to look at a 1948 F4 stated as having a 100 HP flathead V8 with a four speed transmission with a granny low gear.
I plan on using it for pulling an antique dozer about 7.5 tons. I am still looking for a trailer.
Will this truck-assuming stock-handle this load? Any thoughts are appreciated.
