Anyone do this. I looked at it and it seems there are some plastic fasteners with a push-button type center. Before I started prying at them I wanted to run it by the forum. 2002 F250

Plate holder is held on by special plastic push pins, a good yank will unseat them.
When I had the misfortune of having my plate removed (I even saw it coming, but the horn didn't seem to do the trick), I replaced the hardware with S/S fasteners.
Yeah here in Cali we are suppose to have front and rear plates. So I got some magnets on mine and when I tow I pull it off. Doesn't make since to block a cooler with a plate. Plus I don't think I'll be out running a cop with my 26ft toy hauler.
you can save the fastners, I used a small philip scewdriver and a hammer and drive the center of the plastic rivet through , the holder should come right off , my wifes CV had aluminum rivets ,i used a drill on those
