i have a 1997 f150 with the 4.2 v6 engine and i have thrown a rod, i am currently in school so money is tight and i was wondering if anyone knew if a different engine would fit and the mods needed to do so. reply with any info that would help or email me at army_cowboy16@hotmail.com
If you snoop around in here a bit you'll find a few questions pretty much the same.
Basically there isn't anything else that will come even close to bolting in without a lot of work and money.
I would think you could probably find a good used 4.2 for not too much money.
