gas tank help HERE!!!!!!!
ok i have a 1977 f-250 and i have a gas tank out of a 79 f-150. we put the gas tank up to the 77's fram and it DONT fit.. the 77's fram is like 22 or 25 in. and that gas tank is like 33 in. same as the 79 fram. id like to know how that sit up in the fram the only way it fit's is side ways is that how it goes or do i have to get a gas tank for that year of pickup or what????????

yeahg good luck finding one i found a platsic tank out a 79 f 350 flat bed and made a mount for it to fit in there. i think yo ucan buy one but there pricey. you can also get one made but with the price of steel these days it was gonna be liek 200 for the materials to do mine the way i wanted to do it. dont give uop though keep trying you can find tanks to fit but your gonna have to explore other vehicle like chevy and dodge for narrower tanks.
