About a month and half ago I was driving my early 99 Power Stroke when POP! Then black grey smoke started pouring out the pipe. I was near the Ford Dealer so I pulled in. They told me the next day I needed a new motor and turbo. Had real bad blow by. So I found another motor out of a 2000. I put it in. I have 2000 turbo, injectors and wiring. So I changed the wiring and put a new CPS in it. Now I can't get it to start. Can anyone tell me if I need to put my early 99 injectors in? Or will the 2000 injectors work? I am real close to taking back to the dealer. But it is a long tow from my house. So if it's something simple I want to fix it myself. Thanks to anyone that can help me.
It turns over it tryed to start a couple times. But then it died. There is some white smoke when I try and start it. WTS light comes on I wait tell it's off to crank. Oil rails I don't know about them. I know if I hold the starter long enough the oil pressure comes up. The batteries are charged.
ok white smoke is good so its firing the injectors at least.
theres a plug ontop of the HPOP resivoir, open that and make sure its full.
compare the numbers on the sets of injectors. are they both federal motors or both california emmissions motors??
since the motor is a "new" install it may take some coaxing to get to start to, its gotta get the system primed on both the fuel and HP oil side. white smoke is good though its getting fuel
