First time truck owner here, have the 04 4 door F-150 Laredo 4wd.....Love the truck and most likely won't drive anything else but a truck from now on out.
Having one problem with the truck and it is minor but am wondering if anyone else is having this problem...
If I have my wipers on, and then go to use my turn signals, I always either get the wipers going faster or turn them off.... It is very irritating after a while.
I am sure that DocJerrah meant Lariat, and YES, I have the same problem when using the turn signals, if I try to signal in a hurry, will activate the wipers. those switchs need to be sturdier.
I'm always wondering if I'm flashing people when I hit my wipers. Speaking of wipers mine chattered across the windshield so bad I finally replaced the stock ones at 20k miles. No more chatter.
Yes I meant Lariat....GEEEEEESH Sorry.... This truck thing is new to me.....
I had problems with the OD too but have learned to master that one, but the wiper control is going to take more time. I never really have a problem with it unless I have the wipers on went it is raining...then I keep bumping them as I make turns.
Oh and damn glad after 7,000 miles my 12.2 mpg went to 14.4 mpg..... passing everything but gas stations.
I have the same problem. I keep telling my fingers what to do but they do it their way. Even with this major nuisance, I believe this is the BEST truck ever built.
Hey Doc, This might help solve your problem with the wiper switch. Using black thread, place it down in the small channel where the switch and the fixed portion of the stalk meet. Wind the thread around and around the stalk so it goes down into this channel and try turning the wiper switch. When you are satified with the increasd amount of effort now required to activate the switch, tie off the thread and trim ends. This easy fix doesn't show at all and will hopefully cure your pet peeve. Good luck!
