Interesting firewall
I am finishing up installing a full A-Pillar gauge setup, and the instructions tell me to remove the rubber firewall plug from the firewall and to put a hole in it. The problem is that there was no plastic plug. There was a piece of insulation (for sound?) that I had to remove, but under that I only found heat tape that was applied the inside of the engine compartment right were that gromet was supposed to be.
Has anyone else had this happen? Since I have now poked a hole in that heat tape, and dont have a rubber plug, what do I fill that hole with?

same here except i ran 2 gauge power wire (stereo)thru the that area (driver side) i just wrapped the wire with a rubber tape to protect the wire. then in the engine bay, i put foil tape to seel the hole, it works fine
