?Assembly Lube??

I was wondering if I could sparringly use anti-seizing compound insted of assembly lube on the mateing surfaces of my rocker arms?

I also don't know if there is anywhere to find out of any problems it may cause.

assymbly lube and anti-seizing are 2 differnt things as far a the chemical make up. isnt assybly lube also called chrome molly or molly lube??

Most anti-seize compunds have either copper or nickel in them, So I would not suggest that as a assembly lube.

Assembly lube is cheap so just pick up a small tube or container of it.

i would not do that, anti seize compound is very abrasive, I dont think your engine would appreciate it.

If you run out of assembly lube in the middle of the night mix some white grease and 30wt oil. It will work in a pinch. As mentioned before, never seize contains metal particles and will definately ruin a bearing. For cam break-in wait until you can get the proper lubricant. JMHO

thanks for the info. I too had 2nd thought about the Never Sieze and just got some assy lube.
