Heater control hissssssss

With the heater control (vent/ac/max ac etc.) in the OFF position, there is an audible vacuum hiss. Is this part of the heater control section replaceable by itself, or am I in for an expensive trip to the dealer?

The climate control is operated by vacuum, you might wish to get into the dash and check the main vac line first.

Cheers,

I know it's vacuum, I was just wondering if that part was available separately. It only does the hiss-thing when it's in the OFF position, presumably if it were the vac line itself it should (in theory, anyway) hiss in all positions, to my line of thinking. Does that sound about right to you? I've about got myself convinced that that's the answer, but if you have another idea, I'm always happy to learn.

Thanks, Tim.
