First Ford, First Pickup, First Diesel.

Hi folks.

I've been driving full sized vans for years, because they met my needs to have a storage place and tow. My most recent is a '89 Chevy G30 with a gas 350 engine. It will not pass a gas station. And, its rusty.

So, I started to look for a replacement and decided to get a pickup to allow me future 5th wheel use, one day. And in my research it became obvious I should get a 3/4 ton.

And then I found it! Here's what I bought.

1999 F250 Supercab, long box, 7.3L Powerstroke, 2WD.

Its been used with a gooseneck for hauling horses and most recently by a pool installer. With 127,000 kms its got lots of life left in it.

I'm studying the other forums, and now I plan to participate here as well.

I'm going to need lots of help, because I'm really new to diesels, and Fords, and...

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to all this..
