I've got the AOD transmission in a 90 F-150. The OD gear has been burned out for some time, which I could live with for a while. But yesterday I took off from a stop sign in Drive and it took forever to shift out of first. This happened a few more times till I got where I was headed. Then I noticed I had no Reverse, wouldn't even roll back in reverse. So I pushed it back and on the way home I noticed that First is First, Drive is also First, OD is now drive, Neutral is OD, Reverse still does nothing but is not neutral, and park is still park. I checked the linkage, and adjusted it, which changed nothing. I have plenty of fluid, and it looks to be in good shape. It looks to me like the thing is just shot, but does any one know if there is something that could be causing these problems. And what kind of price range can I expect to have it rebuilt? Thanks alot!

From looking at these sites, I would say you would be spending around $1500 for a remanufactured unit. Good Luck and keep us posted.
