First pull and vey happy

This weekend I installed a gooseneck hitch in my 04 Screw FX4, it took most of the afternoon on Saturday. Sunday I hooked up the 16' gooseneck cattle trailer ~4400 lbs and she pulled like a dreams smooth as ice all the way up to 65. Hopefully this weekend I will put a load of cattle behind her and see how she does.

You will be very happy. I have pulled 6,000# several times and it was no effort at all.

With the shorter 5.5 ft. bed make sure not to make TOO sharp of a turn, unless of course you are not afraid to let a bod word or three fly.

I have read other posts on SuperCrews with goosenecks and lets just say the guys were not happy when they forgot they had a much shorter bed than they wish they had. Hence they did not advise others in putting goosenecks in their supercrews.

The first thing I did was turn to see how close it was to the cab. I was really suprised there was a lot of room between the cab and the neck. The neck on the trailer is tapered in and is not boxed. The only way I will have problems is if I jack knife the trailer over 90 degrees.
