The sighing of a gentle breeze blowing through the trees...

The first days of spring, when the hills are all green and lush with new growth...

Sitting on the front porch with my guitar on a warm summer evening...

The smell of the dust settling that first few minutes of the first rain...

A cheery, crackling fire on a cold winter day...

The sound of a built V8 bellowing through a good exhaust...

The g-forces pressing you back into the seat when you get on it...

Getting a new blugrass CD...

Jamming at a festival and pulling off a really good break on my guitar or mandolin...

Enjoying a really good meal...

Good times with good friends...

And of course...family!

And many other things, as well! -TD

I love the thought that after 2 years, I'm finally going to be with my girlfriend each and every chance I get. Right now, the roughly 2000 miles that separates us will soon close. I'm selling my house, packing up my dogs and leaving all my friends and family (whose love is unmeasurable) for a new life with my girl. Should be exciting and challenging to say the least! One more month to go!

Ok, enough of the sap, now to the more manly items!! ha ha.

I love loading up my guns (12ga, ak, 9mm) and going out to the dessert and blowing up boxes of targets and gallons of water to shreds.

I love screaming across the dunes at 60+mph not knowing what slight move or turn I might make that could change my life forever, talk about on the edge! (that is, on the edge for me).

There's a whole laundry list more but these are the most important items to me.

EDIT - Great oden's raven!!! How the heck could I forget about my pride and joy, my truck. Whew, I'm glad I remembered her. She might've pulled a fast one on me the next time I drove it had I forgotten.

I LOVE the things in my life that can't be replaced and I cannot do with out:

My family
My Girlfriend (soon to be Fiance' [don't tell her] and later wife)
My friends
(the three above is why I consider myself a very rich man!)
My birddog (my truck can be stolen and insurance will replace it and I'll move on, steal my shotgun and insurance will replace it and I'll move on, you mess with my brittany and I'm hunting ya down and diggin a deep whole).

The things I love doing, are those that make me into the man everyone who loves me loves:
Quail hunting
helping people with their troubles, projects,
farming
working in general and making myself feel useful and worthy of what I have been blessed with.

When I first posted this thread, we at FTE seemed to be going through a angry, hate cycle. There were several threads to the opposite of this one and I just got tired of so much negativity.

I love it that someone brought this thread back, so I'm going to bump it back to the top and see if anyone else has some love in their life and heart. So, come on guys and ladies.... it really IS ok to LOVE something or someone.

I love my wife and kids and good friends - relationships are very precious.

I love this country and what it was founded on - liberty is a great thing.

I love God, the Lord Jesus Christ who redeemed me and brought me out of a life of darkness and into His marvelous light.

I love my wife. I waited all of my life to find her. Now, she is my life.
I love my kids. My kids give me smiles and uncondtional love, in return.
I love watching my kids grow. It shows that I have accomplished something worthwhile with my life.
I love my parents. Without them. . . heck, I wouldn't be here.
I love America! Where else on Earth, could I have the freedom to do what I want to do; go where I want to go; say what I want to say?!?!?! (Nowhere that I know of!)
I love pheasant hunting. There's no feeling like that of seeing that majestic bird take to wing, and just 'hang' there for a second. Ahhhh. I do love it so.
I love FTE. There is no other place where like-minded people can gather to 'talk', share ideas and be friends.
I love the beach. A 'show' every day!
I love nature. The mountains, lakes, streams (full of trout).
I love Jackson Hole, Wyoming! Absolutely gorgeous place.

I love my hometown and everything about it, I moved away for college and it made me realize how much it meant to me.
I also love my family and friends for obvious reasons.
And I love my families cabin, in my opinion one of the most beautiful places on earth at any time of the year.

I love my Mom and Grandma, they raised me for 10 years all alone.
I love my Dad, I never met my real dad and my Stepdad became my Father, and my friend, and he didn't have to...thanks Pop!
I love my Grandpa, he taught me more than I could've ever learned on my own, especially not to take crap from anyone, he passed away 3 years ago proud and happy.
I love Homer, he's been a great dog and a pretty good stick fetcher.
I love my friends, I don't have but 2 or 3, but they are great.
I love my Girlfriend, she and I have been together for just 5 months, but she is my best friend. She's been there when I sprained my ankle, she's been there for me when I'm down in the dumps, and she's been there for me helping me with my truck. God willing, we'll be there for each other until the end of time.
I love FTE, I've met some great people here, read some outstanding posts, learned useful information, and it's the only reason I even own my P.O.S computer, (otherwise it'd be in the Yellowstone river).

-My town. Even though theres only 2,000 people, it's all I've ever known. As a matter of fact I'm afraid to leave it.
-My truck that breaks down only when I'm close to home
-family
-drinking beer or liquor...or vodka
-drving around with no shirt on (i hate winter, snow & doing dohnuts gets old)
-sitting in the back of my truck with friends drinking beer with a big storm coming in and the smell of the air when that happens
-fordtrucks.com
-driving country roads for hours, going down south to see me 100% redneck relatives
-seeing the very hot mom that lives around the block watering her flowers
-talking to intoxicated girls about "unaproptiate for FTE" things! hey, you learn something new everytime!
-not having to mow the grass cause it rained overnight
-something breaking on my truck, cause I get something new
-when that special girl calls your phone
-listening to kenny chesney's "when the sun goes down" CD in my truck with that special girl sitting next to me. Infact thats the only reason I bought that CD! Its a perfect combo. It's like mashed potatoes and gravy, its like a bottle of jack daniels and a shot glass, its like a rachet wrench and many loose bolts!
-thinking about what a blast highschool was
