Full A-Pod without stock pillar

Has anyone installed the full A-Pillar gauge install without the stock underneath? It seems kind of redundant to have to connect to the stock pillar when I just purchased a new one. I would like to keep the stock pillar "stock" just in case I want to put it back to the stock look.

Any advise?

The stock trim contains the clips that latch into the A-pillar which is why you piggyback the new one on top. I bought my Isspro trim and guages and love them. Good Luck

Yeah I did initially but it kept falling down because there is nothing to latch to so I reinstalled the factory and fastened the gauge pillar to it. Works and looks GREAT!
