E-250 Van question?
I hope this is ok to post here... The vehicle is a E-250 Van with the 5.4 liter and 90,000 miles. The truck is bucking an stumbling when it gets warm. You can be cruising at 40 and the truck will start to shake and shutter like its missing. Took it out for a ride with the scanner on it and all the information looked ok except for at idle the friggin' LT fuel trim was at -17% and the ST fuel trim was at 10% but cruising it goes to likt -7 and -1% which isn't bad. After bringing it for a ride I had a P0301 and P0302 code (Cylinder 1 and two misfire) so I took out the coils and plugs. The Threads on the plugs were full of oil and smelled of anti-freeze so I did a compression check and they both checked out at 185 PSI each. I replaced those two plugs for good measure, cleared the codes and went out driving again. Now the truck will buck and miss under acceleration but at cruise its fine. Code hasn't come back yet for the mis-fire and the fuel trim is steady at -7 and -1%. Anyone have any experience with this problem? Any direction would be great.
-Phil
